Reminder: Clocks Go Back Sunday 25 October 2026

Just a friendly reminder that the clocks will go back by one hour on Sunday, 25 October 2026. So as daylight hours become shorter and the evenings get darker earlier, we would encourage you to activate any timer switches for lights to come on at dusk. This can help make your property appear occupied and may assist in deterring opportunistic crime.

An extra hour of darkness gives thieves an extra hour to operate, so be prepared, be aware and be safe! 🏡

Please also take a few moments to review your property security:

Ensure all vehicles are locked, secure, and any alarm systems are activated.

Remove valuables from vehicles or keep them out of sight.

Ensure sheds, garages, and outbuildings are locked and secure.

Check that doors, windows, and gates are properly secured before leaving your property or retiring for the evening.
